Scope of work
The Nurse Extern plays a key role in the delivery of caring competent patient care in conjunction with a precepting Registered Nurse and in collaboration with members of the healthcare team. Will perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner formulate a goal directed plan of care and implement delegated interdependent and independent direct care activities based on skills learning and clinical training assessment findings and evaluation of any previous interventions. Collaborates with precepting RN on the nursing process supporting documentation and other items as appropriate.
Qualifications
High School Diploma Required
Must be enrolled and attending an accredited school of registered nursing. Transcripts must be provided at time of hire Required
Successful completion of at least one adult medical-surgical rotation theory and clinical Required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
