Job Summary

Senior Rostering Officer

At the NSW Department of Education we educate and inspire lifelong learners from early childhood through schooling to vocational education and training.

  • Ongoing Full Time
  • Location (Eveleigh with flexible working arrangements available)
  • Clerk Grade 7/8 Salary ranging from $113574 to $125720 super and annual leave loading

About the role

As the Senior Rostering Officer you will be responsible for the development coordination and maintenance of staff rosters to support operational requirements and contractual obligations. The role supports the effective deployment of cleaning personnel across multiple sites ensuring compliance with relevant policies industrial instruments and service standards.

You will work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholders to monitor workforce coverage identify risks and support continuous improvement in rostering and service delivery practices.

About you -

  • You are a highly organised and detail-focused rostering professional with demonstrated experience in workforce planning monitoring and reporting. You have strong stakeholder engagement skills and can tailor your communication style to suit a range of audiences. You are comfortable working autonomously managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have experience using rostering or workforce management systems and are committed to delivering accurate compliant and timely outcomes.

Key knowledge and experience

Essential requirements of the role

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting finance business or a related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
