Purpose of The Role

Join the BBC Group Reward team in a newly established specialist area focused on delivering exceptional benefits and recognition programmes for colleagues in the UK and internationally. As a Benefits Specialist (HR Specialist) youll work closely with the Head of Benefits and the wider reward team to shape and manage benefits that support our people across BBC News Radio Sport iPlayer BBC Sounds and our commercial divisions.

Your Key Responsibilities and Impact

  • Plan and deliver annual renewals to ensure efficient delivery and well-managed schemes.
  • Benchmark benefits and associated policies across global BBC locations working with local HR and business teams to understand market practice and employee needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective delivery of benefits and related advice to employees.
  • Provide data and analytics to track engagement participation and ROI for benefits and recognition programmes.
  • Design and deliver employee briefings education sessions and communication materials identifying opportunities to improve understanding and uptake of benefits.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience delivering employee benefits and recognition programmes in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills internally and externally.
  • Effective communication skills across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Understanding of end-to-end process design.
  • Proactive solutions-focused approach and adaptability in navigating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Strong expertise in international benefits with comprehensive experience spanning both consultancy and in-house environments.
