Now we are scaling impact with SimaPro and One Click LCA helping companies embed sustainability in daily decisions stay ahead of regulations and design for a zero-carbon future. As our Business Development Manager you will bring SimaPro solutions for defined targeted sectors: Consumer Goods Medical/ Pharma Chemical Food & Beverage and Technology to the Mexican and North American market and help leading companies in these industries turn sustainability ambition into action.

Get to know your team

You will join a team of 3 Business Development Managers and an inside sales representative who collaborate closely with consultants product managers and partners. Together we work to identify new opportunities support clients in their sustainability journey and scale game-changing software solutions. You will be responsible for new ARR generated from both inbound lead generation and prospecting. This role reports to the Sales & Business Development Team Lead.

Your job as our Business Development Manager

This full-time (40 hours) role combines hunting consultative selling and closing. Your focus will be on customers in Mexico & North America across industries such as medical/pharma consumer goods tech-engineering foods & beverages and chemicals. This is primarily an outbound sales role focused on engaging with both existing and potential customers to expand our market presence.

This full-time permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based in Mexico or North America.

What you will do:

  • Hunt and close strategic new business in Mexico and North America.

  • Engage with prospects to understand their needs co-develop tailored solutions and showcase how SimaPro products create business value.

  • Drive inbound and outbound sales of SimaPro; follow up on leads demo the software and close new contracts.

  • Educate prospects and customers on LCA Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and the role of reliable sustainability metrics in compliance (CSRD CBAM ESPR) and innovation.

  • Contribute to our go-to-market and pricing strategies keeping an eye on market trends competitor activities and evolving regulations.

  • Represent PRé Sustainability at industry events and conferences across North America & Mexico.

What you will bring:

We value diversity curiosity and collaboration. The ideal candidate has:

  • 35 years in B2B Sales and/ or Business Development ideally in SaaS or sustainability consulting with a successful track record of achieving ARR targets.

  • Proactive hunter mentality in sales.

  • Excellent presentation writing and communication skills.

  • Ability to distil customer needs from unstructured conversations.

  • Fast learning skills and a desire to improve constantly using what works.

  • Affinity with sustainability. Knowledge of LCA EPD or environmental reporting is a big plus.

  • A bachelors or Masters degree is beneficial.

  • Fluency in English as it is our working language and Spanish due to the market you will cover.

  • Ideally you have experience working with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC/MEDPIC SPICED or similar frameworks for managing and progressing sales opportunities.
