We are seeking talented finance professionals to join a newly created team as part of a unique collaboration:
Your key responsibilities:
Accounting Tasks:
Oversee journal postings for both technical and non-technical topics ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards;
Manage cash settlement processes leading closing activities in accounting systems (e.g. SAP OMEGA) including complex foreign exchange runs and open item resolution;
Review and approve journal entries and adjustments made by junior staff providing guidance and training as needed;
Reconciliation:
Lead reconciliations for intercompany operations and bank reconciliations ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently;
Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with data from source systems and technical accounting tools ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare and review comprehensive analysis memos (e.g. claims movements unusual technical events) providing insights to senior staff;
Conduct in-depth baseline results analysis focusing on new renewed and canceled business including technical results and IFRS17 KPIs;
Generate detailed reports and perform advanced analysis on FX movements tax balances and expense trends presenting findings to stakeholders.
Audit & Compliance Support:
Provide support to local finance teams for internal and external audit requests preparing audit documentation and addressing queries effectively.
Systems:
Accounting tool: SAP GL;
Reporting / Analysis tool: Business Object;
Consolidation reporting: SAP BFC.
Skills and attributes for success:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA) preferred;
3-6 years of experience in accounting within the insurance industry;
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP) and MS Excel;
Strong analytical skills leadership abilities and a deep understanding of IFRS standards and regulatory requirements;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
English level - Advanced.
