The Role
Heavnn is a startup building a Global Tax Management platform for online businesses and location-independent professionals.
Were looking for a Founding Software Engineer who will take ownership of our technical foundations and support the evolutions of our product.
Tasks
Build and evolve the product
- Design build and maintain a production-grade software platform
- Translate functional and regulatory requirements into clean maintainable systems
- Work closely with tax legal and compliance experts to implement domain logic correctly
- Improve existing systems through refactoring simplification and performance optimization
- Build with scalability reliability and long-term evolution in mind
- Improve and extend existing AI features staying up to date with advances in AI and modern engineering practices
Ensure quality security and reliability
- Apply solid engineering practices around testing monitoring and deployments
- Contribute to data security and system reliability
- Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed quality and maintainability
Requirements
Who Were Looking For
Youre a builder who enjoys ownership and is excited by the evolution of software and AI.
You:
- Have 47 years of experience in full-stack or backend software engineering
- Have shipped and maintained production systems over time
- Are curious about AI automation and modern development practices and actively keep yourself up to date
- Can translate complex requirements into solid technical implementations
- Communicate clearly in written and spoken English (C1/C2)
- Are comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking responsibility for outcomes

Technical Foundations
To be successful in this role you should be comfortable with:
- Modern full-stack web development in a JavaScript / TypeScript ecosystem
- Building and maintaining production backend systems (APIs data models business logic)
- Working across frontend and backend in a product-oriented environment
- Integrating and evolving AI-powered features in real-world applications (beyond prototypes)
- Reasoning about data performance and reliability in distributed systems
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated or complex domains (fintech legaltech taxtech paytech etc.)
- Experience collaborating closely with non-technical domain experts
- Previous experience in an early-stage startup
