The Opportunity
As the Controller you will be the key financial partner to operational and commercial leaders across the UK business. Youll provide critical insight challenge assumptions and ensure robust financial control across a complex fastmoving manufacturing environment. This role blends handson financial management with strategic influence making it ideal for someone who enjoys both detail and bigpicture thinking.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Control & Operational Finance
- Lead cost management across manufacturing supply chain and commercial functions.
- Drive costsaving initiatives and efficiency programmes ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Monitor and analyse production variances material costs labour efficiency and overheads.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Own the budgeting forecasting and longrange planning cycles for the UK business.
- Deliver insightful analysis on performance trends risks and opportunities.
- Build financial models to support strategic decisions investment cases and scenario planning.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to the UK Leadership Team providing clear actionable financial insight.
- Challenge and support commercial operational and functional leaders to drive performance.
- Translate complex financial data into meaningful narratives for nonfinance stakeholders.
Financial Control & Governance
- Ensure strong financial governance compliance and internal controls across the UK entity.
- Oversee monthend close reporting accuracy and alignment with global finance standards.
- Support audit processes and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong postqualification experience.
- Proven track record in manufacturing engineering FMCG or another costdriven environment.
- Strong FP&A capability with excellent analytical and modelling skills.
- Confident business partner with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded proactive and comfortable operating in a global matrix structure.
