Job Summary
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mathematics Educator to prepare students for global and national competitive examinations including the SAT (Mathematics) and IITJEE (Main & Advanced). The role demands strong conceptual depth exam-oriented pedagogy diagnostic teaching ability and a proven track record of improving student outcomes under time-bound high-stakes testing environments.
The educator will be responsible for transforming mathematical concepts into solvable models building student confidence accuracy and speed and driving measurable score improvements through structured instruction and data-informed remediation.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Deliver rigorous exam-aligned mathematics instruction covering algebra advanced math calculus geometry probability data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Ensure consistent improvement in student performance including accuracy sectional scores and overall exam readiness.
Design and execute structured weekly practice plans including full-length and sectional mock tests.
Provide analytic feedback error diagnostics and individualized improvement strategies.
Prepare students for both MCQ-based and student-response/grid-in formats emphasizing strategy and time optimization.
Align instruction with college admissions benchmarks (SAT) and engineering entrance exam standards (JEE).
Core Teaching & Academic Duties
Diagnose student strengths and gaps through baseline assessments and continuous diagnostics.
Teach exam-specific mathematics domains:
SAT Focus: Algebra Problem Solving & Data Analysis Advanced Math Numeric Reasoning.
JEE Focus: Calculus Algebra Coordinate Geometry Complex Numbers Sequences & Series Combinatorics.
Train students in:
Problem translation and model-building
Multiple solution paths and method optimization
Approximation elimination and heuristic-based solving
Conduct timed drills pressure simulations and mini-mocks to build exam temperament.
Maintain student error logs and run reflective post-test analysis sessions.
Use past year questions (PYQs) and adaptive question banks to demonstrate pattern recognition and exam trends.
Develop enrichment pathways for high performers and remediation modules for students needing conceptual reinforcement.
Assessment Tracking & Collaboration
Administer regular diagnostics with item-wise error categorization.
Track student progress using score prediction models and milestone benchmarks.
Coordinate with:
English/SAT EBRW faculty for holistic SAT readiness.
Mathematics departments for test standardization and curriculum alignment.
Keep students informed about exam logistics calculator policies scoring frameworks and updates.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications & Profile
Strong academic background in Mathematics Engineering or related disciplines with Masters Degree.
Proven experience teaching SAT Mathematics IIT/JEE Mathematics or equivalent competitive exams.
Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching JEE mathematics.
Deep conceptual clarity with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple structured ways.
Expertise in exam strategy time management and diagnostic teaching.
Data-driven mindset with experience in assessment analysis and personalized learning plans.
