Job Summary
The Palmer College of Chiropractic Clinics Sports Injury and Chiropractic Rehabilitation two-year Residency Program provides training in evidence-based patient care and educational methods. This residency program focuses on patient care and academic teacher training to prepare residents for future roles as a clinician educator and mentor in the field.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Responsible to the assigned administrator and has a support responsibility to all other departments and college personnel as necessary.
- Responsible for the supervision of students as required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patient Care
- Provide quality patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Teaching
- Mentor chiropractic student externs
- Prepare and present guest lectures grand rounds and continuing education seminars.
- Scholarship
- Promote evidence-based practices and innovation in chiropractic.
- Participate in research projects and presentations.
- Professional Development
- Engage in workshops seminars and independent study.
- Participate in interprofessional rotations.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to travel to outside events.
- Ability to work various hours as job requires.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Doctor of Chiropractic Degree required. Completion of National Boards Parts I II III IV and PT. Have and maintain in good standing a Florida Chiropractic license. Completion of post graduate education and in house coursework making the resident eligible to sit for DACRB level exams. Must have submitted at least one published journal article/research project within a referenced journal prior to completion of the residency.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated lighted and temperature-controlled office setting.
- Frequent need to stand stoop walk sit push pull lift objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
