The Role

Our branch in Sacramento CA is seeking an Electronics Calibration Technician for a full-time candidate will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab or in the field at the customers location as needed.

Job Description

Our Sacramento Branch is expanding its electronics capabilities and desires a motivated technician to help grow and maintain its electronics lab/discipline. The candidate will work both independently and with other technicians on the team. The successful candidate should have at least two (2) years of hands-on calibration experience with an emphasis on electronics calibration. Additionally the Calibration Technician will be a self-starter possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% to customer sites to calibrate and adjust a variety of inspection measuring and testing equipment. This may include overnight stays out of town or in another state as needed.

Responsibilities

Work with other technicians within the lab to provide calibration services which can include cross training in dimensional measurement temperature torque pressure etc.

Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques

Develop test plans for equipment that are not currently in our database

Maintain calibration standards

Working knowledge and competency in electronic calibrations of instruments such as: Multimeters process calibrators data acquisition units temperature calibrators oscilloscopes transducers etc.

Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or at a customer on-site

Fulfill duties safely under working conditions in keeping with Company requirements and standards

Other duties as assigned

Travel requirement: 25-50% of work schedule



Qualifications

Education And Experience

High School graduate / or equivalent required

Associates degree from college or technical school preferred.; or at least two (2) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2 - 5 years experience in electronic equipment calibration. Candidates with experienceusingmechanical measuring inspection and testing equipment will also be considered.

Commercial or Military experience acceptable

Basic technical knowledge of electronic principles to troubleshoot equipment calibration issues in the field. Experience using diagrams schematics engineering data and test equipment is preferred.

Basic mathematical skills including algebra geometry and statistics

Familiarity with testing equipment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word Excel and Outlook

Organizational and time management skills

Ability to work 40 plus hours per week to meet customer demands including overtime work when needed

Candidate shall be able to lift 60 pounds

Candidate shall have a clean driving record background check and drug screen

Preferred

Experience in PMEL PME TMDE Metrology Calibration ASQ CCT METCAL GPETE Electronics GCAMS or Avionics desired

Willing to cross train into other disciples including torque force pressure dimensional optics repair etc.

Python and other programming language knowledge is desired but not mandatory.
