Job Requirements:
Extensive Industry Experience:
- Proven track record in automotive finance and insurance with several years of experience in a high-volume dealership or financial institution.
- Expertise in structuring complex deals understanding various finance products and managing customer portfolios.
In-Depth Product Knowledge:
- Mastery of a wide range of finance and insurance products including but not limited to loans leases extended warranties GAP insurance and vehicle protection plans.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends regulations and emerging financing options (e.g. digital car-buying tools financing for electric vehicles).
Exceptional Sales Ability:
- Strong skills in upselling and cross-selling additional products while ensuring transparency and customer understanding.
- Proven ability to close deals consistently and exceed monthly and yearly sales targets.
Outstanding Customer Service:
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers by providing a seamless informative and positive car-buying experience.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain finance and insurance options to clients helping them make informed decisions.
Advanced Financial Acumen:
- Expertise in credit analysis understanding credit reports and structuring deals that meet both customer and dealership needs.
- Ability to work with multiple lending institutions ensuring the best possible terms for customers.
Compliance Expertise:
- Deep understanding of federal state and local regulations governing automotive finance and insurance such as the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and other relevant laws.
- Consistent adherence to ethical practices and dealership policies ensuring all contracts and transactions are compliant.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Ability to mentor and manage a team of finance and insurance professionals providing guidance on best practices and helping achieve department goals.
- Strong conflict resolution skills to address customer complaints or concerns effectively.
Detail-Oriented and Organizational Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple contracts in transit track documentation and ensure timely and accurate paperwork submission.
- Attention to detail to prevent errors and ensure smooth deal closures especially in high-pressure environments.
Reliability and Flexibility:
- Proven track record of dependability ensuring that the dealerships finance department runs smoothly and without disruption.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends especially during peak sales periods to maximize customer opportunities and ensure business success.
Technology Proficiency:
- Comfortable using finance management software dealership management systems (DMS) and digital tools to process applications and contracts efficiently.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and digital tools for communication and follow-up.
Strong Negotiation Skills:
- Expertise in negotiating with financial institutions customers and insurance providers to secure favorable terms for both the dealership and the customer.
Ability to Maximize Opportunities:
- Skilled in recognizing and capitalizing on every opportunity to increase revenue improve customer satisfaction and contribute to the dealerships overall success.
