ACCEL Schools is hiring Daily Substitute Teachers to support Barber Preparatory Academy and Inkster Preparatory Academy in Michigan. Our schools are dedicated to providing a superior education and fostering a love of learning in every student.

ACCEL Schools are public charter schools serving PK8 students in Highland Park and Inkster MI. Our schools offer a well-rounded education that includes community service learning and competitive sportsand are known for their warm welcoming staff and strong sense of community.
About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities include:
- Support classroom instruction and help maintain a safe welcoming learning environment
- Supervise students throughout the school day (classroom hallways playground cafeteria)
- Follow provided lesson plans and school procedures
- Utilize school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the students
- Build positive relationships with students and school staff
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned
About You:
- Eligible for or currently hold a State of Michigan Substitute Teaching License
- Minimum of 60 completed college credit hours (education or related field preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information appropriately
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
- Experience working with students or in an urban environment is a plusbut not required
