Position Title: Medical Technologist (MT)
Shift Availability:
Desired Location:Panama City Florida (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to perform laboratory testing across multiple specialty areas including Hematology Clinical Chemistry Blood Bank Serology Coagulation Urinalysis and Microbiology. This role plays a critical part in providing accurate laboratory data to support the diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex microscopic immunologic biologic bacteriologic hematologic and chemical analyses and accurately report results.
Receive process and properly handle laboratory specimens and supplies.
Troubleshoot and resolve laboratory instrument issues; document corrective actions and perform minor repairs when required.
Ensure quality control procedures are completed accurately and within required timeframes; follow corrective action protocols as needed.
Maintain compliance with departmental policies procedures and regulatory standards.
Train and mentor new employees and/or students as assigned.
Participate in phlebotomy and specimen accessioning activities.
Required Qualifications
Florida State Medical Technologist (MT) License (Generalist)
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Clinical Laboratory Sciences or a related field
Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist registry required to start
ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
Authorization to work in the United States required
Preferred Candidate Profile
Strong foundational knowledge in clinical laboratory sciences
New graduates encouraged to apply if they have completed clinical rotations or worked as a lab assistant/specimen processor
Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
