Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical
Location: Brooklyn NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 7:30 PM 8:00 AM
Pay Rate: $55 $60 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg to deliver high-quality patient care in acute and post-acute care environments. This role requires strong clinical judgment effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to support safe and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
Safely administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
Perform clinical procedures including dressing changes IV initiation and catheter insertion
Monitor and manage medical equipment and patient responses to treatment
Accurately measure interpret and document vital signs and clinical changes
Identify and promptly report changes in patient condition or adverse reactions
Collaborate with care teams on discharge planning and continuity of care
Educate patients and families on procedures recovery expectations and post-discharge care
Maintain accurate timely and compliant patient documentation
Adhere to established nursing standards policies and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
Acute Care: Minimum of two (2) years of recent Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital
ORPost-Acute Care: Minimum of two (2) years of recent Med/Surg experience in a post-acute or acute care setting
Strong physical assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Proficiency in medication administration
Experience with wound care and infection prevention practices
IV therapy experience
Knowledge of post-operative nursing care
Ability to provide clear and effective patient and family education
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
BLS certification required (additional certifications preferred)
