Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiology Technician to join a high-performing Cath/EP Lab at a large tertiary care hospital located in Kissimmee Florida. This role supports physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and peripheral vascular disease with a strong focus on electrophysiology procedures and advanced cardiac interventions.
The Electrophysiology Technician will play a key role in procedures such as EP studies ablations device implants and interventional cardiac procedures while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians during electrophysiology studies ablations and device implant procedures
Support procedures including PTCA stent placement IABP placement and EP device management
Prepare and maintain Cath/EP Lab equipment supplies and sterile fields
Monitor patient hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms during procedures
Operate and troubleshoot EP and ablation equipment
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Maintain accurate procedural documentation and patient records
Adhere to all infection control safety and regulatory standards
Collaborate with physicians nurses and multidisciplinary team members
Qualifications
Graduate of a CCAHEP-accredited program required
Minimum 2 years of electrophysiology experience required with strong knowledge of EP and ablation devices
Acute care experience preferred but not required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
One of the following credentials required:
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech)
Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
