The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Long-Range Planning Managerto lead the Towns long range planning efforts to support orderly growth sustainability and implementation of adopted community goals
The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking a dynamic and experienced Long-Range Planning Managerto lead the Towns long range planning efforts to support orderly growth sustainability and implementation of adopted community goals
What You Will Do
- Manages and oversees the Towns Comprehensive Plan and related long range planning documents;
- Develops land use policies growth management strategies and planning initiatives that support community goals housing transportation economic vitality environmental protection and quality of life;
- Conducts research data analysis and trend evaluation related to population growth land use infrastructure housing and economic conditions;
- Prepares staff reports ordinances resolutions and policy recommendations;
- Coordinates complex planning projects and special studies;
- Oversees fair and equitable work program delegation of regular and special projects and applications;
- Provides professional guidance and technical expertise to elected officials advisory boards and senior leadership;
- Facilitates public engagement efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and eight years of related experience; or combination of education and experience
- Valid Drivers License
