The Opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to support underwriters by reviewing documents creating binders processing applications renewals and endorsements to determine acceptance or rejection based on company underwriting guidelines. Additionally the role involves providing technical support and policy administration for new business and renewals within specified authority levels and service standards.

Location: Sun Prairie WI - Atlanta GA - Chicago IL - New York NY

Work Arrangement: hybrid working expectations

The hourly rate for this role is between $25.75 and $48.25

Your new role

  • Support the execution of timely and efficient underwriting activities by following established guidelines and referral rules.

  • Assist with profit improvement initiatives for assigned territory by contributing to the development of underwriting plans.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders by sharing information and recommending solutions to basic underwriting issues.

  • Assist team with streamlined underwriting by processing documenting and organizing assigned policies.

  • Build relationships with agents by gathering inquiries researching issues and supporting agent training.

  • Participate in project teams by collaborating during business planning and troubleshooting process issues.

  • Maintain product system and process knowledge.

  • Provide a professional level of services to external customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders with respect to processing queries.

Work Experience:

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Underwriting experience in insurance business.

  • Handling relevant policy documentation.

  • Experience with insurance coursework.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Secondary school certification.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
