JOB TITLE: Records Clerk
REPORTS TO:Executive Director Procurement
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt
PAY GRADE: Para 4
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Records Clerk will maintain accurate records regarding students and ensure compliance with Federal State and District laws and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Graduate or GED
Preferred:
- One year job related experience
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong organizational skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Provide copies of student records for parents and district personnel upon request.
- Prepare and archive student records after withdrawal from district.
- Assist district personnel with questions/information regarding student files.
- Prepare records/documents to communicate information to staff parents students and district personnel.
- Assist in the maintenance and archival of student records and fulfillment of transcript requests.
- Disseminate information requiring further review to the appropriate campus personnel
- Prepare and maintain records required by federal state or local laws/regulations.
- Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
WORKING/SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following:
Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting reaching and repetitive hand motions bending stooping. May require some lifting no more than 20lbs. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. Overtime is required as necessary.
