The organization is a recognized leader in obstetrics high-risk pregnancy neonatal care gynecology pediatrics and advanced surgical services. The hospital supports one of the highest delivery volumes in the region and operates a Level IV NICU providing the highest level of care for critically ill and premature newborns. The organization is part of a major healthcare network offering comprehensive patient-centered care.
Job Summary
The Nurse Manager NICU is responsible for supporting high-quality efficient patient care within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role partners closely with the Director to oversee daily operations clinical quality staff support and performance improvement initiatives. The Nurse Manager provides leadership and clinical guidance to ensure exceptional outcomes for neonates and families.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Director with department operations to ensure alignment with the organizations mission vision values and long-range strategic plans.
Coordinate and support departmental participation in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
Ensure nursing care is delivered using the nursing process and evaluated for effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff.
Assist with planning implementing and evaluating patient care within Womens Services units including NICU.
Support a collaborative patient-centered care environment focused on safety quality and excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care NICU leadership experience (Manager or Charge Nurse).
BSN required.
Current Registered Nurse license (state or multi-state compact; state licensure required within a defined timeframe if applicable).
Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
