Role Overview
As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for monitoringsupporting troubleshooting and maintaining network and server systemsensuring high availability performance and security. You will workclosely with the networking team and other IT stakeholders to deliver reliableservices and excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network and server infrastructures proactively identifying incidents outages and performance issues.
- Provide advanced technical support across routing switching firewalls VPNs load balancers and DNS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and connectivity issues escalating when required.
- Respond to customer requests and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records using ticketing and monitoring tools.
- Participate in network and server-related projects including upgrades and improvements.
- Support the training and mentoring of NOC Technicians.
- Collaborate with internal teams vendors and customers to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with security standards policies and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in network and server administration monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies:
- TCP/IP BGP OSPF VLANs VPNs
- Experience with SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Versa Fortinet).
- Hands-on experience with NGFW solutions (Cisco Palo Alto Fortinet).
- Experience using network monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor SolarWinds Nagios or PRTG.
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python Ansible).
- Knowledge of Network Operating Systems:
- Cisco IOS IOS-XE NX-OS
- Linux
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- CCNA certification (required).
Nice to Have
- Professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
- Exposure to complex or multi-customer network environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise or service-provider networks.
