The Healthcare Technology Clinical Application Specialist (Project Coordinator) leverages clinical expertise technology knowledge and advanced analytical capabilities to support and optimize medical equipment programs clinical technology initiatives and operational workflows across the enterprise. This role partners with nursing allied health physicians and vendor teams to drive data-informed decisions standardize equipment management processes oversee related technology projects and deliver outcomes that advance staff and patient satisfaction.
The Healthcare Technology Project Coordinator applies both technology analytic and management skills to assist and collaborate with medical and allied health staff in activities which support the Divisions mission and goals. To qualify for this position the individual must be a high performing technologist or technician with excellent organizational skills: be able to accurately collect analyze and draw appropriate conclusions from large data sets; have exceptional interpersonal relationship skills for interaction with all levels of medical staff and allied-health personnel; possess good written and oral communication skills; be able to work independently with minimal direction or supervision; and be able to flex work days and/or hours to meet changing workload demands and needs. The individual must have exceptional computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint Excel Visio and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of all types of medical equipment and the current Mayo medical equipment inventory/fleet is essential.

The individual must have an understanding of the medical equipment used in a hospital or clinic and how it is used for patient care and:
Bachelors degree preferred but not required. Five years of supervisory experience in a maintenance services healthcare setting preferred. Additional or advanced degrees in technical business or management areas are beneficial. Strong leadership communications and organization skills are essential. Must be skilled in the use of word processing spreadsheet database and presentation software. Other skills such as financial business processes budgeting and continuous improvement would be helpful.
