POSITION SUMMARY:
- Provide entry-level support and maintenance for student-focused computing devices
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students at Dickinson High School to resolve hardware and software issues ensuring minimal disruption to the learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Technical College or University program in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
- Possession of or progress towards PC repair certifications (e.g. CompTIA A) (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of PC/laptop hardware Chrome and Windows OS.
- Ability to operate basic tools and handle peripheral accessories.
- Familiarity with standard networking connections.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Perform on-site diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software problems specifically for student Chromebook devices
- Install configure and test software applications and workstation hardware
- Assist in assessing and implementing basic upgrades such screen keyboard and battery replacements
Inventory & Documentation:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of student monitors keyboards chargers and other components
- Document all instances of equipment failure repair and installation within the districts ticketing system
- Develop help sheets and FAQ lists to assist students in self-troubleshooting common issues
Collaboration & Operations:
- Collaborate with the DHS Support Technicians and Technology Department to ensure efficient high school operations
- Follow step-by-step procedures for technology applications and district-wide processes
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Technology Department

- Strong customer-service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain technical issues in user-friendly language to students and teachers
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy school environment

- Standard office and instructional equipment; adaptive equipment as needed
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking standing kneeling stooping lifting light to heavy objects (up to 45 lbs). Must be able to lift and move computer equipment; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor work; possible exposure to weather noise and biological hazards.
- Primary work is conducted on-site at Dickinson High School
Mental Demands:
- High emotional resilience; ability to manage frequent interruptions and sensitive situations
- Occasional irregular hours and district-wide travel
Professional Dress:
- Dress must be clean neat and appropriate for the role. No visible body piercings other than earrings.
EVALUATION:
