CDS Developer

We are seeking a skilled and passionate CDS Developer to join our innovative team at Hitachi Ltd. This role involves designing developing and maintaining Core Data Services (CDS) views and models within our SAP environments to support various business applications and reporting needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Experienced in Design develop and implementation of complex CDS views (basic composite consumption) for various business scenarios.
• Experienced in performance optimization of existing CDS views using PlanViz and data models for performance and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards and quality.
• Perform unit testing integration testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for developed CDS objects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CDS view performance data accuracy and system integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and integrity across different SAP modules.
• Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and best practices particularly in SAP HANA and S/4HANA (Clean-core extensibility apps)
• Document technical designs development processes and troubleshooting guides.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development with a strong focus on CDS views in SAP HANA or S/4HANA.
• Proficiency in creating various types of CDS views (e.g. DDL DCL).
• Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts particularly with SAP HANA database.
• Experience with OData services development based on CDS views.
• Familiarity with ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) annotations and their impact on Fiori applications.
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with Extensibility apps SAP Datasphere is a good to have knowledge.
