Job Summary
Job Title: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN Travel
Location: Rochester NY (must be more than 75-mile radius from facility)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Shift: 4x12 hours Days/Nights Rotation
Schedule: Every other weekend and some holidays
Pay Rate: $2530 $2760 weekly (gross)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic acute care setting. This is a travel contract position requiring flexibility to float across units as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac monitoring skills IV therapy experience and the ability to respond to emergencies effectively.
Licensure & Certifications
Current New York RN license required no exceptions
ACLS and BLS required
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry
Experience with EPIC or similar electronic charting systems
Cardiac monitoring: Dysrhythmia interpretation and management Rapid Response/Code team involvement
IV therapy and phlebotomy: Peripheral line care and management
Respiratory support: Nasal cannula oxygen face masks portable oxygen tank non-invasive airway management
Knowledge and adherence to isolation precautions
Must be able to float between units as needed
Job Responsibilities
Provide safe patient-centered care in a medical-surgical/telemetry environment
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
Perform IV therapy phlebotomy and administer medications per policy
Assist with respiratory interventions and patient airway management
Collaborate with the healthcare team to respond to rapid response or code situations
Accurately document patient care using EPIC or other electronic medical records
Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards
