Registered Nurse ICU (Med-Surg Background)
Location: Ocala FL 34474
Schedule: Full-Time Days or Nights Rotating Weekends
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse ICU (Med-Surg Background) role is designed for experienced Med-Surg nurses transitioning into the Intensive Care Unit. This position provides structured ICU orientation clinical mentorship and progressive patient assignments to support the development of critical care competencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients under guidance
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
Administer medications IV therapies and titratable drips per protocol
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Respond to changes in patient condition and emergencies
Participate in ICU training education and competency validation
Qualifications:
Active Florida or compact RN license
Minimum 1 year Med-Surg or acute care experience
BLS required; ACLS within required timeframe
