Job Summary

Job Title: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine

Join a dynamic team in Bay City Michigan known for its vibrant community and beautiful waterfront! This facility is seeking providers to fill open PRN shifts offering a great opportunity to contribute to an essential service in the area. Engage in a collaborative work environment with full support from nursing and tech staff as well as access to complete radiology and lab services.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Manage and evaluate a diverse patient population ensuring timely and effective treatment.
Perform various emergency procedures including but not limited to suturing central line placement and EKG interpretation.
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient care delivery and improve patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system (Cerner).
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (No BE accepted).
Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency department experience.
Current Michigan Medical License (no exceptions not accepting IMLC).
ACLS BLS and PALS certifications required (ABEM/ABOEM providers only need ATLS).
Clean background for quick credentialing.
Local candidates preferred.
Availability as per the specified shift dates is mandatory.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active Michigan Medical License.
Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
Current certifications: ACLS BLS PALS (ATLS for FM/IM).
Documentation of recent flu vaccine and COVID vaccination status.
Compliance with required health screenings (e.g. TB Hep B MMR Varicella TDAP).
