Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Emergency Medicine in Grand Ledge MI
Join a dedicated medical team in Grand Ledge Michigan known for its commitment to high-quality patient care. This facility is establishing a Float Pool for providers to cover open PRN shifts with a projected annual ER volume of 15000 visits. Expect a supportive environment with 24/7 lab services CT and X-ray facilities to enhance patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.
- Cover 12-hour shifts (either 8AM8PM or 8PM8AM).
- Manage an expected patient volume of 20 patients per day initially increasing to 40 by the end of the first year.
- Collaborate with other medical staff for patient assessments and treatments.
- Utilize on-site radiology and laboratory services effectively.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in emergency response and trauma care as needed.
Qualifications:
- ABEM or AOBEM board certification (FM/IM candidates will not be considered).
- ATLS certification from residency.
- Active Michigan medical license.
- Open to new graduates and emerging professionals.
- NPDB self-query documentation (to be presented within 30 days of application).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Michigan medical license (non-compact).
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine.
- ATLS certification required.
- Immunizations: Hepatitis B MMR Varicella (vaccine series or immune titer) current flu season vaccination Covid documentation and a TB test within the last 12 months.
- TDAP adult vaccine (within the last 10 years).
