Position Overview
A hospital in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN) to provide high-quality patient-centered care to critically ill patients. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced ICU environment and are committed to delivering evidence-based compassionate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Available Shifts
Day Shift Rotating weekends
Night Shift Rotating weekends
Responsibilities
Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients
Perform detailed patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Execute physician-ordered procedures treatments and continuous monitoring
Accurately document nursing care and patient responses in the medical record
Advocate for patients families and caregivers to ensure safe ethical and effective care
Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Apply established nursing frameworks such as Assess Perform Teach and Manage
Support departmental quality initiatives and best practice standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Acute Care RN experience (ICU PCU or high-acuity setting preferred)
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license
Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required within a defined onboarding period
Associate Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
