Job Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobility Technician to diagnose install maintain and repair wheelchair-accessible vehicles and adaptive driving equipment. This includes servicing lifts ramps hand controls transfer seats power kneel systems and secondary battery systems. The technician must ensure all modifications meet ADA compliance manufacturer specifications and customer safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Install and repair mobility equipment including BraunAbility VantageMobility and other major brands
Perform diagnostics and preventive maintenance on wheelchair lifts interlocks and electrical systems
Wire and test auxiliary battery setups relays and inverter systems
Ensure ADA and NHTSA compliance on every install
Use schematics service manuals and OEM documentation for accurate repairs
Document all work performed using shop software or ROs
Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep up with required certifications
Assist with inspections and state compliance as needed
Occasionally assist with road tests and delivery of finished vehicles

Qualifications:

2 years of mechanical or electrical experience (automotive RV or upfitting preferred)
Strong understanding of 12V wiring and basic fabrication
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a variety of positions
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Professional dependable and detail-oriented
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
