DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Harborview Medical Centers 9NJB Medical Specialty Clinics is a multidisciplinary surgical and medical specialty clinic including CORP Therapies Palliative Care Chest General Surgery Hematology Oncology Neurology Medicine Operative Consult Rehabilitation Medicine Thoracic and Urology.
The Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program (CORP) offers coordinated interdisciplinary evaluations and therapies for outpatients with a variety of neurological disorders such as traumatic brain injury stroke aneurysm tumors and spinal cord injury. The Rehab Medicine Clinic offers comprehensive care for adults recovering from spinal cord injury traumatic brain injury stroke amputations and COVID-19. The Hematology/Oncology Clinic consults evaluates and cares for patients with blood disorders bleeding problems hematologic cancer and solid tumors. The Neurology Clinic treats patients referred for disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems including seizure disorders peripheral neuropathies and other neurological diseases. The Thoracic Surgery Clinic at Harborview Medical Center offers a comprehensive approach to the treatment of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies including tumors of the mediastinum pleura chest wall and esophagus. The Urology Clinic at Harborview Medical Centers Ninth & Jefferson building provides a wide variety of care and services to adults with urinary tract problems including acute and chronic urinary incontinence bladder dysfunction kidney stones and related conditions. The General Surgery Clinic at Harborview provides consultation for general and surgical conditions as well as pre- and post-operative follow-up for patients with traumatic injuries wound management and suture removal.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for organizing and independently coordinating the administrative operations and revenue cycle operations of the assigned clinics.
Accountable for the optimization of the clinic support service workflow the Program Operations Specialist provides oversight and direction to the office staff by ensuring efficiency in practice management financial and support services of the clinic
Make independent judgements/decisions and take action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations
Perform project management duties for the clinic leading and overseeing improvement processes and projects related to workflow improvement in terms of efficiency and/or effectiveness in supporting the clinics strategic goals as well as UW Medicines Pillar Goals
Assist in formulating strategies for monitoring and assuring quality and quality improvement. Responsible for hiring and disciplinary processes in conjunction with the health service Manager and actively participates as a leader in the clinic management team and AACS division

REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Served in a supervisory or lead role in a medical clinic setting revenue cycle and/or medical finance experience
Bachelors degree in Business Health Administration Public Health or Public Administration preferred
