Supply Chain Technician Hickman Hospital

As a Supply Chain Technician you will ensure the right supplies and equipment are available when needed for the patient care team. By optimizing supply chain processes you contribute to improved operational efficiency reduced costs and better patient outcomes.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Orders delivers and stocks supplies for assigned departments as scheduled maintainingproper par levels and storage space on shelves. Accountable for reporting to supervisionneeded adjustments to inventory and par levels according to utilization.

• Responsible for checking expiration dates stock rotation and removal of excess inventory inmanaged inventory locations.

• Promotes teamwork and collaboration with co-workers customers and leadership toproblem-solve and promote innovative solutions to provide the right product at the righttime at the right place.

• Processes and delivers supply and equipment requests. Uses good judgment in responding torequests for specific patient items and determines the best method and timing of deliveryi.e. routine vs. stat.

• Unloads inspects and checks material and supplies arriving at the dock noting specialstorage or handling instructions. Maintains appropriate documentation for tracked itemsi.e. tissue.

• Handles all facets of outbound shipments in a cost-effective manner documenting applicableRGA and tracking information while ensuring that all shipments are timely as required byour customer.

• As directed enters patient charges and orders/documents using appropriate vendorwebstes as applicable. Demonstrates the supply chain supporting behaviors ofaccountability collaboration reliability dedication and integrity. Follows establisheddepartmental policies procedures objectives quality assurance programs and safetystandards.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have effective interpersonal oral and/or written communication skills.

• Must be able to understand directions communicate and respond to inquiries.

• Must have ability to work independently and think critically to problem solve.

• Must have knowledge of Windows-based computer programs and the capacity for learning specialized software programs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in materials management
