Job Summary

Job Title: Culinary Camp Counselor Speer Branch YMCA (Summer 2026)

Duties:

Host exciting and interactive cooking camps for young campers during a 10-week Summer Camp
Teach basic cooking and baking skills kitchen safety and nutrition
Promote proper safety sanitation and food-handling practices
Collaborate on planning the culinary curriculum and assist with purchasing supplies
Create a welcoming energetic and consistent camp experience for all participants

Requirements:

A culinary degree is not required
Availability for the complete 10-week Summer Camp
Strong kitchen skills and a passion for cooking are essential
Experience working with children is preferred
Positive attitude creativity and enthusiasm for working with youth
10-panel drug screen
Clear a Level 2 background check*

Pay & Perks: Part-time/seasonal $18.00-$20.00/hour depending on experience. Free individual YMCA membership for employee and discount for family.
