Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
A large multi-hospital healthcare system in Florida is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) to join its Respiratory Care team. This role provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced acute care environment including trauma and stroke services.
Shifts Available
Day Shift Rotating weekends
Night Shift Rotating weekends
Responsibilities
Perform all respiratory carerelated duties under general supervision
Set up and administer routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures
Manage acute care ventilators for short- and long-term mechanical ventilation
Provide respiratory care to neonatal pediatric adult and geriatric patients
Monitor patient response and adjust therapies as clinically indicated
Accurately document treatments and patient status in the electronic medical record
Maintain departmental and hospital records
Work independently when a team leader is not present
Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
1 year of recent (current or within the last year) acute care respiratory therapy experience
CRT experience will be considered
Active Florida Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility for state licensure
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
Current BLS certification
