CCLI is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. By joining our team you will share in the joy of providing care with dignity and life with hope.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the overall condition safety and appearance of agency facilities and grounds through routine maintenance repairs and general services.
- Perform basic household electrical repairs installations and appliance hookups and recognize when a licensed electrician is required by notifying the supervisor.
- Implement routine household plumbing maintenance repairs and installations.
- Complete routine carpentry construction alteration repair and maintenance of buildings.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting. Paint interior and exterior walls ceilings and cabinet work.
- Maintain facility grounds remove snow from walkways as directed and perform general services.
- Keep records complete required paperwork attend required meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED. Valid NYS Drivers License
- 4 years of progressive experience in building maintenance facilities maintenance construction or related field.
- Working knowledge: basic electrical plumbing carpentry painting and general repair techniques.
- Proficiency in the safe use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as well as to walk/stand for full shift climb ladders and perform other physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in conditions of extreme heat or cold as needed.
- Positive and effective communication skills for interacting with staff vendors clients and management.
- Basic computer skills for completing records work orders and required paperwork.
Schedule: Full time - 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
Rate of Pay: $22-25 per hour
