Job Summary

Position Summary:

Makes ready operates and maintains multiunit web-fed press to print newspapers supplements and periodicals according to written specifications. Assists other pressroom personnel in all phases of daily production.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

1. Works toward newsprint waste standards and news print waste reduction programs.

2. Operates forklift clamp truck and pallet jack once certified.

3. Stacks empty pallets

4. Lifts a minimum of 70 pounds repeatedly.

5. Climbs ladders up to 25 feet.

6. Performs maintenance and general housecleaning inside and outside the building.

7. Assists in other production departments as needed.

8. Exceeds customers expectations. A customer is anyone who contributes directly or indirectly to the revenues of the organization.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Participates in company Hazard Communication program and follows all safety regulations.

2. Cross trains in other jobs for back up purposes as assigned.

3. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing any customer service related duties to the desired results as needed.

4. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education Experience and Skills Required:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.

2. High School diploma or equivalent.

3. Mechanical aptitude and ability.

4. Must be able to read and write English.

5. Confidentiality a must.
