Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise cost estimates for various construction projects contributing to the overall success and efficiency of our operations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in cost estimating for construction projects.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in using estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale construction projects.
- Familiarity with industry trends and cost databases.
- Project management experience or certifications.
- Ability to understand complex architectural drawings and specifications.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials labor and other project components.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and challenges.
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to gather project requirements.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotes and ensure material availability.
- Utilize estimation software to enhance accuracy and efficiency in cost calculations.
- Analyze project risks and prepare contingency measures as necessary.
- Present estimates and proposals to management and clients addressing any inquiries.
- Stay informed about industry trends technologies and cost variations to ensure competitive pricing.
