General Description:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is part of the Moraine Lake Lodge housekeeping team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest accommodations lodge and grounds. The Housekeeping Supervisory is accountable for; training team members maintaining linen and cleaning supplies inventory scheduling maintain a wage and expense budget and ensure all areas of the guest rooms lodge and surrounding areas are kept in immaculate condition. The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to attend weekly supervisors meetings be committed to creating / maintaining a strong team-oriented work environment as well as have a strong working relationship with the General Manager VP of Hotels & Ownership. This position is a working team member of the housekeeping department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Operations
  • Ensure quality guest experience by providing consistent and efficient service and highest level of cleaning on a consistent basis
  • Supervise the performance of Housekeeping Attendants and general cleaning and take appropriate action to correct deficient conditions behaviour and work practices
  • Inspect guest cabins guest areas and assess compliance with all established standards as they relate to cleanliness maintenance safety and security
  • Responsible for marking & grading guest rooms for bonus purposes
  • Ensure schedules for team members meet requirements of the lodge and guest arrivals/departures
  • Promote outstanding Guest relations ensure all guest comments from Front Desk are communicated to team members and recognition is on a daily basis as well as
  • Monitor and handle guest complaints/comments and guarantee a seamless guest experience
  • Accommodate guest requests for Housekeeping items or additional supplies in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Communicate consistently promptly and daily with Maintenance and Front Desk team and to ensure total guest satisfaction is met and/or exceeded
  • Ensure system in place for Housekeeping team for all lost and found items to Front Desk
  • Maintain a clean and organization housekeeping room
  • Actively promote a safe work environment. Promote Safety First
  • Promote the use and purchase of environmentally sensitive cleaning products/procedures
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the emergency manual
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the VP of Hotels and General Manager.
Leadership & Development
  • Maintain strong communication & relationships with all Moraine LakeLodge departments
  • Prepare weekly work schedules and effectively schedule to trends in occupancy and departmental demands
  • Develop an effective departmental team by completing orientation of new team members individual performance reviews and identifying training needs
  • Conduct mid-season performance reviews in partnership with General Manager and HR Dept.
  • Follow up with team on a daily basis about uniform and appearance guidelines as set out in the Rooms and Grounds manual
  • Provide timely and effective feedback to team and General Manager regarding any performance issues. Report all disciplinary action to HR.
  • Lead informal daily briefings to set goals and motivate team set out tasks and check lists
  • Encourage a positive team-oriented working environment. Solicit listen and deliver on the needs/requests of the Housekeeping team for any improvements for the department
  • Be knowledgeable and promote Moraine Lake Lodge Cathedral Mountain Lodge Banff National Park & surrounding areas.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with suppliers and vendors
  • Attend weekly manager meetings contribute meeting ideas and participate actively
  • Obtain and share knowledge of Moraine Lake Lodge Cathedral Mountain Lodge and Banff National Park information and history with team members and guests.
  • Financials
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory levels of linen supplies and purchasing accordingly
  • Accountable for controlling labour and supply expenses for the housekeeping department
  • Control labour & department expenses as set out in the budget monitored on a daily basis and communicated to General Manager.
Safety Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized housekeeping room
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the Lodge Emergency manual
  • Follow work safety and WHMIS guidelines
  • Actively promote a safe work environment
  • Take reasonable care to protect your own co-workers and guests health and safety
  • Know and follow all Capilano Groups health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ask for further training before taking on any task that you are unsure of or have not been trained on
  • Cooperate with the JOHS Committee and any person carrying out Occupational Health and Safety duties
  • Use protective clothing devices and equipment provided and find out what protective equipment is required for each task
  • Ensure your ability to work without risk to your health and safety or any other persons safety is not impaired by alcohol drugs or other causes
  • Be alert to hazards and immediately report hazards defective equipment or concerns to your supervisor.
Core Competencies:
  • Communication skills: Must communicate with guests team members and management in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Leadership skills: Must be able to lead and mentor a department of people. Must be able to confidently train subordinates in all areas of housekeeping operations. Must feel confident in delegating tasks duties to subordinates.
  • Working with others: Works well with others in a team setting to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Efficiency: Must be able to work with a minimal amount of supervision manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks. Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Qualifications:
  • Must be 100% guest service oriented have excellent people skills with a positive & upbeat personality2 yrs. of housekeeping experience with minimum 1-year supervisory experience
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate is a requirement
  • Second language is an asset.
Working Conditions:
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business
  • While performing the duties of this position Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work with outside with varying weather conditions (ex. Extreme Heat Extreme Cold Rain Snow)
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Occasionally required to lift and climb a step ladder or step stool.
Details:
  • Fulltime working up to 40 hrs. a week
  • Hourly starting wage of $ 22.00 per hour with an end of contract bonus
  • Staff accommodation onsite $10.00/day includes all meals and laundry.
  • May 24th 2026 October 1st 2026
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada prior to offer of employment.
