What impact youll makeAn Electrification Lead Finance Analyst is responsible for driving accounting compliance financial and operational internal controls process simplification and operational excellence to deliver accurate actual financial reporting and analysis. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others. The individual follows the ES procedures and guidelines to help to ensure Electrification meets the financial closing consolidation & reporting standards for GE Vernova. This role will report to Closing leader as part of ES Transactional Accounting & Closing pillar.
Job Description
What youll do
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis of accurate financial statements and disclosures based on actual results. Consolidate analyze and report financials in compliance with reporting regulations.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
- Support closing process to pass system edit checks and close issues while analyzing financial information
- Ensuring timely updates and clear communication with multiple stakeholders (e.g. ES GPL and Business Line Leaders Interco Operations Leader GEV Vernova Closing Teams
- Acts as a supporter for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
- Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work if the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality volume timeliness etc.).
- Uses some judgment and can propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated day-to-day problems.
- Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
What youll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- BA or BS in finance/accounting from an accredited college or university
- Significant experience in a controllership/accounting role
- Fluent English knowledge is essential
- Highly analytical with well-developed problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
What will make you stand out
- Knowledge of the Electrification businesses (including products business processes and systems)
- Deep SAP expertise specifically in the areas Finance (FI) module; experience with FCC consolidation/FDL reporting module a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP and GEV accounting policies and procedures in the areas of consolidation & reporting intercompany current affiliates
- Highly collaborative demonstrated ability to collaborate across all finance structures (shared services local team outsourced service providers)
- Resilient

- Demonstrated ability to lead projects

- Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary
- This is a hybrid role with three days remote and two days in the office.
