Role description:

As a Project Manager for Data Centers you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of construction projects partnering closely with Arcadis team to ensure a seamless flow from the Planning phase through to Commissioning.

This position places you front and center as the clients representative on-site where you will collaborate with all stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of quality timeliness and operational efficiency.

Role accountabilities:

  • Delivering data center project in line with budgetary compliance regulatory and planning controls.
  • Set up chair and minute project meetings. Be the responsible party to produce meeting minutes in all project meetings.
  • Keep full and proper records of all meetings and negotiations attended or conducted.
  • Aid in disputes avoidance
  • Prepare and maintain a Project Execution Plan for the project identifying the roles and responsibilities of client Infrastructure team the consultant team the contractor and any / all specialist sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Establish the procedure & process for communication between all the relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in identifying the decisions to be taken and the information required for the relevant documents to be prepared.
  • Support the Change Management Process for the project/programme of projects by liaising with Client and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with client and team to establish all key project processes for projects delivery. Monitoring and reporting of these processes and making recommendations to Client.
  • Monitoring and reporting to the Client at intervals to suit the progress of the works: actual progress vs planned. Proposing and discussing with client any remedial actions required for the recovery of any delay.
  • Discuss with team for review and regularly update of the Project Risk Register. Agree and monitor Risk Mitigation Plans.
  • Provide to client weekly reports and provide input into other stakeholder reports/presentations as may be required.
  • Check that other consultants are providing adequate supervision in accordance with their activities and that they are fulfilling their contractual obligations in assessing and dealing with extensions of time and issuing appropriate certificates.
    Check that variations and instructions are being issued and correctly circulated.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Degree in Mechanical Civil/Building Engineering Architecture or a related field;
  • At least 10 years of construction management experience;
  • An excellent level of English (B2 / C1) and a Good level of Italian (B2);
  • Ability to travel autonomously;
  • Knowledge and experience in MEP and firefighting disciplines will be considered a plus;
  • Proven construction management experience in Data Center will be considered a plus;
  • Good knowledge and experience with project management procedures will be considered a plus;
  • Professional accreditations (PE AIA CCM CPC PMP LEED or equivalent) will be considered a plus.
  • Frequent site presence will be required. Projects are based in Milan hinterland mainly east and south of Milan
