Position Summary:
Under limited supervision provides highly responsible administrative and management support functions for the MPS District Superintendent including management of sensitive and confidential issues federal programs school curriculum and functional supervision of school principals.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Assists in planning organizing evaluating and directing the implementation of administrative and educational programs in MPS Schools; manages technical programs and complex issues as assigned; duties may vary according to job assignment.
- Coordinates the implementation evaluation and compliance standards for federal programs including Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Title I Title II and ESSA Consolidated State Application.
- Reviews revises implements and evaluates school curriculum; leads the development of effective educational programs and the integration into the curriculum.
- Works with school principals to respond to and resolve complex and sensitive issues.
- Coordinates a variety of state and federal school programs including Home School North Dakota State Assessments Homebound Services and summer schools.
- Coordinates professional development programs for certified personnel including Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and other assessments.
- Reviews and approves administrative actions including purchases and guardianship/residency issues.
- Manages stakeholder relationships in the community; communicates and collaborates with other public agencies elected officials community organizations and advocates.
- Supports the relationship between the Mandan Public School District and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients visitors and District staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues client records and District information; follows compliance rules governing child abuse; performs related duties as required or assigned.

- A valid North Dakota State Drivers License is required. Teacher/Educator certification from North Dakota Department of Public Instruction is required; and specific Principals Credential is required as defined by Article 67-19 of the North Dakota Administrative Rules.
