Position Summary
The Event Kitchen Assistantis responsible for preparing and finishing all hot and cold foods in accordance with event recipes & standards.
Types of events that can be expected:
- Cocktail receptions Seated dinners
- Breakfast & Lunch Buffets
- Private dining in our clients homes.
- Weddings and other large events
This role pays an hourly rate of $30.00

This position will remain open until April 24 2026.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a clean organized and efficient manner in a high-pressure environment
- Have experience on multiple stations in the kitchen
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meets Events standards
- Must have excellent knife skills and proficiency in all aspects of cooking
- Assists the Culinary Management team with food preparation as assigned
- Maintains a working knowledge of food preparation for standard menu items
- Maintains a clean work environment including floors and passages
- Cleans kitchen and equipment as assigned by the Culinary Management team
- Assists in keeping all food storage areas refrigerators freezers etc. clean and organized.
- Assisting the unloading of deliveries
Qualifications
- Professional work ethic
- 2-3 years of related off-premise catering/cook experience
- Prepare and execute key components of dishes while ensuring quality and accuracy
- Effective communication skills and ability to take direction from supervisors
- Flexible working hours including weekends and evenings when required
- Excellent leadership interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently resourcefully and proactively solve issues
- Support their fellow cooks by being a team player
- Ability to meet physical demands including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day
- Able to lift and carry 30 pounds push/ pull up to 75 pounds.
- Culinary degree is preferred but not required
