Raytheon is seeking a Software Deployment Lead to oversee in-country software development deployment fielding and operational training for a major international C4I program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). In this role you provide technical leadership customer-facing and coordinate co-development with local Saudi engineers.

This onsite unaccompanied position will be based in Saudi Arabia for a long-term international assignment with additional compensation.

Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

What You Will Do

Software Deployment

  • Oversee software deployment integration and fielding activities across multiple customer sites within KSA.
  • Create and manage in-country software deployment plans and schedules to ensure timely execution.
  • Provide program management with accurate and up-to-date status reports and progress updates regarding deployment plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site installation configuration validation and system acceptance events.
  • Lead the resolution of complex technical challenges through root-cause analysis and collaboration across functional teams.
  • Ensure all deployments meet system performance cybersecurity and operational readiness requirements.
  • Verify that all team members involved in deployment are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary resources to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Proactively identify and address roadblocks to ensure the program adheres to technical and schedule commitments.

In-country Software Development

  • Lead development teams by providing technical guidance on architectural decisions sprint planning and capability delivery.
  • Supervise co-development efforts with in-country Saudi engineers enhancing local expertise while ensuring adherence to program standards and contractual requirements.
  • Optimize development processes CI/CD pipelines code management practices and integration workflows to improve overall efficiency and quality.
  • Create and manage plans and schedules for in-country software development and co-development activities.
  • Deliver timely and accurate updates to program management on the status and progress of software development plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate in-country software change requests with the CONUS development team to maintain a unified and consistent software baseline across all development teams.

Operations Training & Workforce Development

  • Design and implement training programs tailored for operators system administrators and engineering personnel.
  • Update and manage training materials certification pathways and operational documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Mentor Saudi technical staff to foster long-term sustainment capabilities and self-sufficiency.
  • Coordinate logistics for operations training with the Saudi customer and subcontractor personnel to ensure seamless execution.
  • Develop comprehensive plans and schedules for in-country operations training initiatives.
  • Deliver timely and accurate updates on the status and progress of operations training plans and schedules to program management.

International Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with program management to serve as the technical liaison between the Saudi Ministry of Defense and the program team.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication across cultural and organizational boundaries engaging with RTX leadership U.S.-based engineering teams and international customers.
  • Establish trusted technical relationships with senior customer officials through open communication and dependable performance.
  • Partner with the U.S. Program Manager in-country Program Manager and in-country Program Execution/Training Leads to ensure seamless execution of tasks outlined in the program contracts Statement of Work.
  • Provide mentorship to software developers and system administration personnel across the program subcontractor and customer teams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to support customer meetings calls and conferences.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams and managing full lifecycle deployment activities.
  • Experience in system integration cloud/on-prem architectures enterprise infrastructure and operational support.
  • Experience resolving complex undefined problems requiring advanced analysis.
  • Experience collaborating with international customers or foreign technical teams.
  • Experience communicating with both customers and program team.
  • Experience managing and resolving conflicts to ensure program success and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks military standards and secure system operations.
  • Experience supporting Middle Eastern defense customers.
  • Familiarity with Arabic language.
  • Background mentoring or developing junior engineers in various environments.
  • Ability to create collaborative relationships and communications.

The salary range for this role is 145600 USD - 276800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
