The Contracts Section provides legal advice to County departments on a wide range of issues related to the procurement and administration of contracts for goods services and information technology products and the construction of and design of public works. The Contracts Section also provides general legal advice on a variety of topics to the King County Superior and District Courts King County Elections the Superior Court Clerks Office the King County Auditors Office the Office of Performance Strategy and Budget (PSB) and the Treasurers Office.

Salary: Range 49 $37.97 (step one) - $48.13 (step ten)
Work Schedule: Monday Friday our core business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Employees assigned to this position enjoy a hybrid work schedule that allows telecommuting with a minimum of 2-days in office per week subject to business needs and a telecommuting agreement. If a successful candidate is new to the King County Prosecuting Attorneys Office they will be required to work in office four days a week for the first six months of employment.Application Process:

* In addition to the benefits listed on the benefits tab employees with less than 2 years of service will receive .25 per hour less than the hourly salary table due to a mandatory contribution toward the Teamsters Pension Trust that was voted by members of the collective bargaining agreement between our office and Teamsters Local No. 117. This contribution is made by the employee and after two years it is paid by the employer.
The wide variety of clients and issues generates a variety of responsibilities for this paralegal. Specific tasks will include but not be limited to: processing and monitoring of a high volume of condemnation cases; filing and maintaining of the countys annual tax foreclosure case; managing the discovery for a high volume of weekly school bus infractions; tracking the progress of procurement projects proofreading and crosschecking contract language; and the management of litigation in venues ranging from King County District Court to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals as well as various bankruptcy courts.
