Job Summary
Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Software Developer and Architect. This role will be located on-site in Huntsville AL.
This is a key member of the Software Development that develops codes tests and evaluates software products as well as understands software architecture across various Aircraft SurvivabilityEquipment(ASE) products.
What youll do:
- Work as a member of the ASE SW development team to design code and test SW (tools libraries applications)
- Review SW related deliveries from vendors emphasizing knowledge of the SW development life-cycleartifacts
- Be able to support multiple concurrent development efforts at different stages of SW life-cycle
- Collaborate with other SW team members on competing priorities as well as provide status to leadership
- Understand how system level changes can impact SW performance design or testability
- Understand SW development methodologies road-maps and planning
- Provide guidance on FACE MOSA and/or other DoD SW architectures
- Understand portability of applications conformance and layered SW development approaches
- Support ASE product offices to provide knowledge and evaluation criteria on vendor proposed architectures; help with understanding impacts of design
Qualifications
What youll need:
- Education: 5 years with BS/BA 3 years with MS/MA or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Clearance:Active Secret clearance
- 2 years hands on experience with one or more of the following: C C Ada Python
- Be able to read and understand technical documents drawings and capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities
- Understand system software interfaces requirements and inter-operatingwith other systems
- Experience with embedded programing languages and be fluent in the Microsoft Office tool-set
- Knowledge of SW architecture and development methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a DoD acquisition project management office
