A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN PORTER AT THE MUNICIPALHOTEL & SPA MGALLERY LIVERPOOL

What youll be doing...

Our Food and Beverage operation cannot function withoutthe preparation and support the Kitchen Porter team. Reporting to theExecutive Chefyoucan expect your working day to include the following;

Carrying out cleaning tasks at pace to support the delivery of all crockery dishware mis en place and cookery equipment. Without preparation of our utensils we are unable to provide a food and beverage service. This is a pivotal role in our business.
To ensure food preparation sites and storage are clean and items are stored to the required Food Hygiene standard and cleaning schedules.
Unloading equipment and food from deliveries and correct product storage as per delivery procedures.
Ensuring the storerooms and bin rooms remain organised and in good working order.
To support the hotels sustainability incentives in correct disposal of waste and waste collection.
Variable shifts and hours.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

We hire mostly on personality & potential but hereare a few of our requirements...

To be able to work a variety of shifts (mornings / days / evenings) 5 days over 7 and 40 hours per calendar week.
A positive attitude and hands on approach to work
To have excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene within your area of work.
Problem-solving and good organisational and storage skills.
A collaborative attitude towards co-workers and colleagues.
