Field Service Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire (Field-Based)
Salary: DOE Hours: MondayFriday Overtime Available
Our client is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join its growing service team.
This is a hands-on customer-facing role focused on installing servicing maintaining and repairing electro-mechanical production equipment across the UK.
What Youll Be Doing
- Installing commissioning servicing and repairing customer equipment
- Responding to breakdowns and completing planned maintenance
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical and mechanical faults
- Ensuring all electrical work meets safety and compliance standards
- Testing completed work and resolving any issues found
- Producing clear service and customer visit reports
- Managing company vehicle tools and stock
- Delivering a professional friendly service to customers
- Working safely and in line with company and industry H&S standards
- Staying overnight when required
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 3 years experience servicing electro-mechanical equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- HNC/HND degree or equivalent engineering qualification (electrical bias preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (up to 3 points accepted)
- Confident working independently in a field service environment
- Forklift licence desirable (training available)

- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Calm professional and solutions-focused approach
