The Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Labourer who resides in Fort McMurray Alberta to join our team at our Fort McKay shop. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to develop their skills take on responsibility and someone who is willing to get their hands dirty. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople learning on the job while contributing to high quality work.
Shift: 10 days on 4 days off rotation 10 hours per day 7:00 am to 5:30 pm lunch not paid.
We provide transportation so you must have a valid drivers license and a clean driver abstract.
Compensation/Benefits
- CLAC rates. This is an entry level position.

Job-Duties/Responsibilities
- Read and understand site-specific instructions and scope prior to each shift
- Assist tradespeople (mechanics) with tasks and gain hands-on experience
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to take on new challenges
Education/Skills/Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must reside in Fort McMurray
- Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract Must have!
- Some previous experience in a labour position in an industrial construction role preferred but not essential
- Ability to tow trailers would be an asset
- Safety conscious
- Comfortable driving in all weather conditions
- Understands worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Physically fit and capable of handling manual work
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be willing to complete a criminal background check
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
- Punctual reliable and committed to showing up for work
- WHMIS 2015 and CSTS-2020
- Transportation of dangerous goods
- Skid steer ticket would be an asset (not required)
- Fork lift training would also be an asset (not required)
