Operations Technology (OT) develops strategic solutions that support key business processes including Settlements Confirmations Regulatory Reporting Position Keeping Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance. Our clients include Institutional Securities Group Wealth Management Enterprise Operational Risk & Control Risk Internal Audit and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
>Lead the design and architecture of complex large-scale and distributed systems using Java and related technologies.
>Architect event-driven and microservices-based solutions leveraging Apache Kafka and similar messaging systems.
>Design develop and maintain robust RESTful APIs for internal and external services.
>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams ensuring best practices in software engineering.
>Collaborate with business stakeholders product owners and other architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
>Evaluate and select appropriate tools frameworks and technologies to meet business and technical requirements.
>Ensure application performance scalability security and reliability.
>Conduct architecture reviews code reviews and provide guidance on refactoring and optimization.
>Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends recommending innovations to enhance the technology stack.
>Follow the best DevOps practices - create CI/CD pipelines enable capturing telemetry etc. Skills Required:
>Hands-on with 10 years experience in building distributed systems applying agile practices.
>Strong working knowledge of core Java and Spring frameworks including spring-boot etc.
>Deep understanding of Apache Kafka (topics partitions producers/consumers stream processing schema management).
>Strong experience with REST API design development and best practices (OpenAPI/Swagger API security versioning).
>Solid understanding of microservices architecture service orchestration and containerization (Docker Kubernetes is a plus) scalability security and observability.
>Working knowledge of Databases including Design SQL proficiency and Stored Procedure
>A background that includes strong problem solving such as system integration infrastructure debugging or system administration.
>Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
>Fast learner and desire to constantly learn and improve.
>Bachelors degree in computer science or in a related field.
>Strong communication skills.
>Demonstrated experience in designing implementing and managing cloud-to-on-premises connectivity solutions (e.g. hybrid architectures secure network gateways).
Skills Desired (Good to have):
>Web UI framework like Angular or REACT libraries
>Knowledge with Microsoft Power Platform** (Power Apps Power Automate).
>Knowledge in ML modules in Python or Java
>Knowledge in LLMs and prompt engineering.
>Hands on experience with cloud technologies
>XML Technologies such as JAXB
>Ability to coordinate with multiple groups both internal and external to the firm including offshore development and QA teams internal infrastructure groups vendors and support teams.
>Basic Understanding of ML Algorithms
>Working experience in Python.
