We are seeking to appoint a Chief Information Officer (CIO). The appointed CIO will be responsible for overseeing the Information and Communications Technology operations for a maximum period of twelve (12) months ensuring that ICT initiatives effectively support organisational objectives and service delivery requirements.
Requirements
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational ICT leadership for a period of twelve (12) months performing functions typically associated with a Chief Information Officer.
The scope of services will include but not be limited to the following:
- Develop a comprehensive ICT Strategic Plan aligned to the organisations strategic objectives clearly articulating how ICT will support and enable the organisations current and future state.
- Establish maintain and guide the organisations technology architecture and technology standards ensuring system availability reliability and sustainability including reviewing and finalising existing Enterprise Architecture and ICT Strategy Development processes.
- Conduct an assessment of the current ICT infrastructure cyber and information security environment and human resource capabilities and provide recommendations on the infrastructure security controls skills and experience required to deliver on strategic objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in the procurement and implementation of new technologies including specialised and large-scale solutions such as High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
- Advise and guide the Executive Committee on the effective use of existing and emerging technologies to enable cost-effective reliable and efficient service delivery aligned with available financial resources and human capital management frameworks.
- Demonstrate sound expertise in ICT governance including policy development risk management compliance and alignment with recognised best-practice governance frameworks.
Qualification and Requirements
Honours or undergraduate degree in IT Management Information Systems Digital Innovation Computer Science or any Information Technologyrelated field
Minimum of five (5) years work experience performing functions at CIO or ICT Manager level
