Why Your Role Matters:

Managed by UNSW Sydney Liverpool Study Hub is part of the Australian GovernmentSuburban University Study Hubsprogram a national strategy to increase participation in higher education among underrepresented groups. The Liverpool Study Hub is a welcoming space designed to support tertiary students fromanyAustralian university TAFE or tertiary education provider. As the Academic Advisor you will play a key role in ensuring highquality academically aligned program delivery The role focuses on strengthening student success and engagement through the provision of expert academic support curriculum mapping and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. It also involves contributing to policies and procedures that support students across programs regardless of their education provider and fostering strong community connections to advance the Hubs objectives.

Who You Are:

You will be an experienced academic and program leader who drives the successful delivery of the Hubs academic services. You will build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and provide high-quality student-centred academic support across programs.

Youll bring:

  • Relevant qualifications in education curriculum design higher education administration or a related field with extensive experience in academic program delivery or equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education training and professional practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to support the development ofacademicskills and confidence in students from diverse backgrounds to succeed in tertiary studies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in academic stakeholder engagement curriculum mapping and governance processes to support highquality program implementation across diverse education providers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders including Hub staff professional organisations and community partners.
  • Proven ability to contribute to the development and implementation of policies procedures and governance structures that enhance student success and institutional alignment.
  • Experience engaging with academic professional and international organisations fostering partnerships that advance program objectives and strengthen the Hubs impact.
  • Capacity to support reporting communications and project delivery ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and compliance requirements.
  • Sound judgement and problemsolving skills with the ability to apply creativity and flexibility in responding to emerging academic and operational challenges.
  • Understanding of risk management and compliance including psychosocial and physical safety duty of care and governance protocols.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development including participation in supervision peer learning and sector engagement to build capability and resilience.
